A Unesco está organizando uma série de eventos, conferências, exposições, debates e apresentação de um filme sobre as inúmeras formas de violência contra a mulher e os esforços para combater o problema.
A violência contra a mulher é uma violação dos direitos e liberdades fundamentais. A secretária de Interior Britânica, Theresa May, ressaltou que qualquer forma de violência é inaceitável.
No Brasil, especialistas defendem que a Lei Maria da Penha deve ser prioridade no governo Dilma Rousseff, que acredita que a denúncia do agressor é importantíssima, juntamente com a forma pela qual os órgãos da polícia e da Justiça acolhem essa denúncia.

One in three women in the world is exposed to violence and abuse
According to the United Nations, one in three women in the world has already been bitten up, sexually assaulted or has been a victim of some type of abuse.
Unesco is preparing a series of events, conferences, exhibitions, debates and the showing of a film about the many faces of violence against women.
The violence against women is a violation of fundamental freedom and rights. The British Home Secretary, Theresa May, said that any type of violence is unacceptable.
In Brazil, specialists believe that the Maria da Penha Law will be one of the priorities of Dilma Rousseff’s government.
The Brazilian future president said denouncing the abuser is of the utmost importance. It is equally important that the police organisation and the justice welcome this action of bravery.
